~The show starts with JBL getting in Raw General Manager, William Regal's face and lets him know that he is pissed that his one-on-one match with WWE champion, Randy Orton at Backlash has been changed to a four-way match including Triple H and John Cena. Regal's not having it, tells JBL to deal with it and announces that he'll have a match with Triple H later that night.

-Shawn Michaels comes out and talks about his feud with Batista, who is still pissed that Michaels retired Ric Flair at Wrestlemania. WWE Intercontinental Champion, Chris Jericho randomly decides to come out and pester Michaels.

Photobucket
-Things don't end well for Jericho.

-It's announced that the King of the Ring tournament will be making its return next week's special 3 hour edition of Raw. YES!

Photobucket

Photobucket
-Mickie James beats Beth Phoenix to win the WWE Women's Title. YES!

-GM Regal announces that Chris Jericho will be the special guest referee for the Shawn Michaels vs. Batista match at Backlash.

-Chris Jericho cheats to successfully defends his title against Umaga by putting his feet on the ropes to get the pin.

Photobucket
-Paul Burchill bumrushes Hacksaw Jim Duggan and steps on the back of his head, slamming his face into the ring mat.

Photobucket
-Triple H and JBL were trying to have a match, until Randy Orton runs into the ring and messes everything up. Orton and JBL beat down HHH.

Photobucket
-Then, JBL changes his mind, lays out everybody and poses with the WWE title.

The King of the Ring is an eight man single-elimination tournament. It was originally an annual WWE tradition but for some reason they stopped holding the tournament as frequently. The last time they held the KotR was in 2006 and it was won by Booker T (who was in WWE at the time). I've always been a big fan of the King of the Ring and I can't wait to see who's in it.

Carlito hit an awesome backstabber on Paul London. London sold it like it was death.

WOW! Mickie James winning the Women's Title came out of n-o-w-h-e-r-e. Even the announcers sold it like her win was the biggest shocker in the world. James is a solid wrestler and I think it's great that she's getting another run with the title especially after she was completely forgotten at Wrestlemania in favor of "Bunnymania".

The Age of Orton continues!!! I am digging the sudden finishes in Orton's matches lately. He'll be getting completely handled and then out of nowhere he'll hit the RKO and picks up the win. I think it's great.

Umaga got some promo time. I don't know what he said but it sounded like he meant business.

Poor Hacksaw Jim Duggan, I think it's time you pull a "Ric Flair" and retire.

Those were some brutal clotheslines from JBL.

3/3 Raw Results:

~The show starts with Raw GM William Regal telling Triple H, John Cena and WWE Champion, Randy Orton, that for the next three weeks one of the three of them will be in charge of Raw. Regal chooses Cena to go first tonight.

Photobucket
-Big Show kills some random guy in a match billed as a “mixed martial arts” match…right.

Photobucket
-Ric Flair & Shawn Michaels defeat Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch. After the match, Michaels tells Flair to call off their match at Wrestlemania because he doesn’t want to be the one to end Flair’s career.

-Tonight’s Raw GM, John Cena, announces the main event as HHH vs. Randy Orton in a non-title match.

-It's announced that next week’s Raw will be a three hour episode that will feature wrestlers from Raw, Smackdown and ECW. The theme of the night is “Wrestlemania Rewind” meaning the night will be filled with re-matches between opponents that have met at past Wrestlemania shows.

Photobucket
-Umaga beats down Super Crazy.

Photobucket
-Chris Jericho’s talk show segment, The Highlight Reel, made a return with special guest, Jeff Hardy. Both men will compete in the Money in the Bank Ladder match at Wrestlemania and Jericho felt the need to show Hardy footage from last week, when Jericho beat him to gain a spot in the match. Hardy doesn’t take to kindly to that and knocks Jericho out.

Photobucket
-Raw GM John Cena decides to not give himself the night off and ends up beating Mr. Kennedy in a match.

Photobucket
-Maria, former WWE’s Women’s champion and past Playboy cover girl, Candice Michelle and Raw color commentator, Jerry Lawler, unveil Maria’s Playboy cover. Santino Marella, Maria’s boyfriend, nearly sabotages the whole thing after sticking pictures of his face all over the cover. Lawler ends up sucker-punching Santino out of the ring and they unveil the real Playboy cover. *Note* Maria’s Playboy cover leaked online weeks ago.

Photobucket
-Carlito beats WWE Tag Team Champion, Cody Rhodes, to become the fifth person to qualify for the MITB ladder match.

-Finlay admits that he is the father of Hornswoggle, the leprechaun. John Bradshaw Layfield pays Hornswoggle a visit at the hospital and roughs him up. Finlay challenges JBL to a match at Wrestlemania and he accepts.

Photobucket
-John Cena interferes in the main event between Randy Orton and Triple H causing the match to end in a "no-contest". Orton, for the second week in a row, ends up laying everybody out and is the last man standing.

When I said before that Big Show killed this guy in the ring, I mean he killed that man. I hope his paycheck was worth it.

They really didn’t do anything with the whole “triple threat takeover” featuring Cena, HHH and Orton. If I were GM for the night, I would have made sure I did a lot more then just make two matches.

I thought the promo Shawn Michaels cut on Ric Flair was solid tonight and I can’t wait to see what Flair does to eventually get Michaels to agree to a match.

“Wrestlemania Rewind Night” sounds ok, I guess. I can’t think of too many match-ups they will feature though. Maybe they’ll do John Cena vs. Triple H from Wrestlemania 22 and maybe they’ll have a rematch between The Great Khali and Kane from last year’s Wrestlemania, which was god-awful.

Santino was, once again, comedic gold this week.

I didn't care about anything involving JBL or Finlay last week, but after this week, I'm really interested in their match.

Updated WWE Wrestlemania 24 Card

~Here is the current card for Wrestlemania 24, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 30 in Orlando:

-WWE Title Match: Randy Orton (Champion) vs. Triple H vs. John Cena

-World Heavyweight Title Match: Edge (Champion) vs. The Undertaker

-Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. The Big Show

-Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels (If Flair loses, he will be forced to retire)

-Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Jeff Hardy vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Chris Jericho vs. Mr.
Kennedy vs. Carlito (more competitors will be announced)

-Raw vs. Smackdown Challenge Match: Umaga (Raw) vs. Batista (Smackdown)

-Finlay vs. John Bradshaw Layfield

-BunnyMania Lumberjack Match: Candice Michelle & Maria vs. WWE Women’s Champion, Beth Phoenix & Melina

I’m looking forward to HHH/Cena/Orton, Finlay/JBL and HBK/Flair but so far, I think the lineup for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match is looking like it will steal the show. I know WWE will mess that up somewhere down the line by adding someone completely useless to the match like this fool:

Big Daddy V

Or this one

The Great Khali

How Big Daddy V would get up that ladder is anyone's guess

And what the hell is “bunnymania”?
