Celebrity gossip website, mediatakeout.com, is reporting that multi-time Grammy award winning rapper, Eminem, is slated to join World Wrestling Entertainment.
According to the site, an insider from Eminem's camp says the rap superstar (born Marshall Mathers III) is "taking private [wrestling] lessons" and "is about 3-4 months away from making his debut".
However, thecelebritytruth.com is reporting that this is not the case at all. Eminem's publicist is quoted as saying "Eminem has no interest whatsoever in becoming a wrestler. This ‘source’ is making stuff up.”
I honestly laughed out loud when I first read this and it's surprising how many wrestling news websites are reporting this. Slim Shady trying to conquer the pro wrestling world after conquering the music world just doesn't make much sense to me.
However, I've heard that Em is working on another album after being on hiatus since 2005. Maybe, just maybe, it could be possible that he appears on WWE television to help promote the album around the time it's released. But seriously, as much buzz as this album could have, I really don't think he would need WWE's help to sell records.
